6. Kammerkonzert: Busch Trio 2022

The eponym of the Busch Trio, violinist Adolf Busch, was not only one of the most famous in his field in the early 20th century, he was also the founder of the famous Busch Quartet and formed the Busch-Serkin Trio together with his brother Hermann and Rudolf Serkin, in exile in America. His former instrument, a Guadagnini violin from 1783, still resounds today in the hands of Matthieu van Bellen. Together with the Israeli brothers Ori and Omri Epstein, the young Dutchman will perform an exceptionally demanding programme of chamber music in Innsbruck.

Programme:

Wolfgang Rihm: Fremde Szene III for violin, violoncello and piano

Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy: Piano Trio in C minor op. 66

Antonín Dvořák: Piano Trio in F minor op. 65
