The Nordkette is the real landmark of Innsbruck. It towers over the whole of Innsbruck, keeps rain away and dams up clouds. It steers winds and makes it difficult for aeroplanes to approach. The Nordkette invites you to hike and walk and makes an impression simply because of its enormous size.
