Between rushing gorges and the warmest bathing lakes in Tyrol, families and active holidaymakers will find an oasis of relaxation in Alpbachtal. Three idyllic campsites by the lakes combine comfort with nature. In front of the campsites, bathing lakes, unique mountain adventures and Tyrol's largest open-air museum are waiting to be discovered.

Kramsach - When the mist rises over Lake Reintal in the early morning and the first rays of sunshine gild the rock faces of the Rofan mountains, a small holiday paradise awakens on the shore. Here in Kramsach there are three campsites close to the water, surrounded by forest and mountain panoramas. Lake Reintal is one of three bathing lakes in the region. It is considered the warmest bathing lake in Tyrol. In summer, the water temperature reaches a pleasantly mild 23 to 25 degrees. Sunbathing lawns, playgrounds, boat hire and two lidos invite you to linger around the shore.

Family paradise on the eastern shoreThesmell of fresh pastries wafts through the airnot far fromthe lakeshore. The "Camping & Appartements Seehof" campsite has its own breakfast kiosk. The five-star facility is located on the eastern shore of Lake Reintal. It boasts terraced meadow pitches, spacious facilities and panoramic views. A petting zoo, an adventure playground with go-karts and an indoor playroom provide entertainment. Meanwhile, parents can enjoy coffee and cake on the lakeside terrace. In the evenings, the pizzeria or the barbecue area at the campsite will tempt you. Three modern sanitary blocks, private bathrooms for hire, a riding centre and a fitness room round off the facilities. In the depths of winter, the site becomes a cross-country skiing base, with access to the trails directly on site.

Comfortable chalets, barrels and lots of cosiness

A little further west, on the southern shore, is "Camping Seeblick Toni". This is a multi-award-winning campsite with over 200 pitches. In addition to classic tent and caravan pitches, the site also offers rustic wooden barrels and comfortable chalets. In the morning, guests can enjoy breakfast in the Brantlhof restaurant. During the day, the swimming lake or the wellness area beckon. Toni's relaxation zone with sauna and relaxation area invites you to unwind. For children there is a water playground, supervised activities and regular family parties. The atmosphere is informal and the hospitality warm.

Familiar and simply goodThefamily-run "Stadlerhof" campsite isjusta few minutes away. The four-star campsite impresses with its spacious pitches surrounded by hedges. The heated outdoor pool with whirlpool and the indoor wellness centre with sauna, steam bath and infrared cabin offer relaxation in all weathers and seasons. An adventure playground, a youth centre and a weekly tractor excursion with the senior manager make the site particularly family-friendly. In the evenings, you can meet up in the Genuss Schmied'n restaurant for Tyrolean cuisine and homemade schnapps.

Out of the tent and into the adventureThereare numerous activities around the three campsites. The Reintaler See via ferrata starts right on the lakeshore. Two secured routes lead through the rock face and offer breathtaking views over the Inn Valley. The region's three gorges are less steep but just as impressive. The Tiefenbachklamm, Kaiserklamm and Kundler Klamm gorges lead through spectacular gorges, some wild, some gentle, ideal for family hikes.

Visit to the Museum of Tyrolean Farms

If you want to experience culture as well as water and rock, visit the Museum of Tyrolean Farms. Just a few minutes away from the campsites, Tyrol's largest open-air museum takes you through 37 historic farm buildings from all parts of the Tyrol. Old schoolrooms, smoke kitchens and farmhouse parlours bring history to life - for children and adults alike.

At the end of a fulfilling day's holiday, the barbecue fire glows in the squares, children chase after the ball with their last bit of energy, while the mountains glow in the evening light. The Alpbachtal offers exactly what many people are looking for today: Deceleration, nature, exercise and genuine hospitality.
