Great cinema in the Alpbachtal - almost 500 visitors at the "Heimatleuchten" premiere

Updated on 25.02.2025

An emotional and entertaining evening at the cinema: the Congress Centrum Alpbach was transformed into a cinema on 24 February 2025 for the exclusive preview of the new Heimatleuchten episode of ServusTV. Almost 500 visitors set a new record.

Alpbach - There was an expectant atmosphere in the air as the guests gradually streamed into the Congress Centrum Alpbach, which was transformed into a cinema for this special evening. The rows of seats filled up and familiar faces from the region appeared on the screen.

The Alpbachtal in the leading role

In the new Heimatleuchten episode "Tiefer Winter, umtriebige Leit - Conny Bürgler im Alpbachtal", the region and its inhabitants take centre stage. The programme portrays people who shape the valley and its villages: innovative minds who preserve traditions, courageous visionaries and passionate craftspeople. Presenter Conny Bürgler and her team were on location to capture these unique stories on film.

A passion for skiing

Former world-class ski racer Eva-Maria Brem takes viewers to her favourite slopes in Alpbachtal and talks about the challenges of professional sport. Monoskier Andreas Kapfinger proves that limits often only exist in the mind. Together they explore the Ski Juwel Alpbachtal Wildschönau ski area and stop off at rustic huts where the enthusiasm for skiing has been alive for generations.

Regional treasures and musical sounds

There is also plenty to discover away from the slopes in the programme: Master brewer Jos Moser opens the doors of Austria's smallest brewery and invites you into his cosy parlour. Deep in the forest, the secret of the Alpbachtal hay milk dairy is revealed in a hidden cheese warehouse. And at the idyllically situated Faulbaumgartenalm, you can listen to handmade melodies that bring the soul of the valley to life.

Laughter, amazement and excitement

In addition to the breathtaking images of the Alpbach Valley, the protagonists with their humour and unique characters also ensured a good atmosphere in the audience. Conny Bürgler charmingly hosted the evening and then brought some of the programme's main characters on stage for a chat. They provided further insights into their stories.

Conny Bürgler was enthusiastic about the varied filming, the people in Alpbachtal and admitted with a grin: "Today I learnt that I consistently mispronounced a word in the programme: The people of Alpbach call themselves "Oibecka" - I'll remember that for the rest of my life! I'll also remember how warm, cosy and beautiful it is here in the Alpbach Valley."

The filming was also a special experience for Eva-Maria Brem: "The production was great fun, even for me there was a lot to discover that I didn't know beforehand. Tonight's preview evening is also a great opportunity to exchange ideas with people from the region."

Petra Cosentino, Head of Marketing at Alpbachtal Tourismus, was delighted with the successful preview:

"The collaboration with ServusTV was - as usual - highly professional and extremely pleasant. The fact that almost 500 visitors came to the Congress Centre Alpbach for the preview this time makes us very happy. The consistently positive reactions show the great interest in the region and above all in the people who characterise it. We are now looking forward to numerous viewers in front of the screens for the first broadcast on ServusTV."
