Enthusiasm despite the rain - fans and professionals celebrate together on the Salvenalm From 23 to 30 July 2025, the Bundesliga team of 1. FSV Mainz 05 was once again a guest in the Hohe Salve region. Housed in the exclusive "Das Hohe Salve Sportresort" in Hopfgarten, the team prepared professionally for the new season.
In addition to intensive training sessions on the well-equipped football pitches at the Wörgl and Hopfgarten sports centres, the focus of the stay was also on socialising with fans, partners and sponsors. For the second time, the region organised an extensive supporting programme with the Mainz team, including special trips for sponsors and, for the first time, an exclusive partner trip for guests from the Mainz 05 VIP area.
The big highlight was the atmospheric morning pint on the Salvenalm on Saturday. Despite the mixed weather, covered terrace areas, a sumptuous barbecue buffet and the rousing music of the "Alpenrosenbuam" created a real mountain hut atmosphere. The 350 or so fans in attendance were particularly thrilled when the entire team came to the Alm in the early afternoon and mingled with the crowd. Presenter Christian Bernhart's interview with captain Silvan Widmer and his co-captain Nadiem Amiri provided some emotional goosebump moments - the latter confirmed to thunderous applause: "I can also tell everyone that I'm definitely staying here."
The Hohe Salve region and 1. FSV Mainz 05 have had an official partnership since the summer of 2024. Last year, a Mainz 05 gondola was officially inaugurated at the Salvenbahn I cable car in Hopfgarten as part of the first training camp - a visible symbol of the growing partnership.
The training camp is a central component of this co-operation, which focuses on long-term exchange, joint PR campaigns and emotional experiences for fans and guests.
The Hohe Salve region draws a consistently positive conclusion and is already looking forward to the 2026 training camp - then for the third time in a row as host for 1. FSV Mainz 05.
