With their humorous cabaret "Das Restaurant" and a podcast that puts the region centre stage, they provide entertainment of the highest calibre - and at the same time bring the unique atmosphere of the "village of thinkers" closer.
Scurrilous, sharp and charming: the cabaret playIn"Das Restaurant", two friends try to open a classy restaurant without any expertise. What begins promisingly ends in chaos: a burnt-down restaurant, a suspicious policewoman and the question of who is actually the real arsonist. The mix of profound humour, absurd plot and Viennese wit makes the play a special experience. On 7 December at 8 pm, Rubey and Schwarz will transform the Congress Centrum Alpbach into a humorous stage that invites you to laugh and reflect.
Podcast with regional depthButa stay in the Alpbachtal is more than just cabaret. Together with the Alpbachtal team and local experts, the two go on a journey of discovery and immerse themselves in the history and culture of the region. The adventure begins in the morning with the "Village of Thinkers" tour, which offers fascinating insights into the Congress Centre Alpbach, Schrödinger's grave and traditional Alpbach architecture. This is followed by a guided hike along the mountain trails to Inneralpbach, where the actors get to know the wintry landscape, the stories of the heritage farms and regional cuisine.
Lunch at the Zirmalm provides some enjoyable moments before heading to the historic Böglerhof in the afternoon. There, Rubey and Schwarz delve deep into the eventful history of the house - including the famous Fuggerstube.
