It's that special time of year again. When you enter Seefeld's pedestrian zone and smell heavenly aromas from every corner. It's time for the Seefeld Strudel Festival again!
On 6 and 7 July 2024, guests from near and far will once again come together to celebrate Austria's favourite dessert. There will once again be the most creative strudel variations imaginable at around 15 stalls. The whole event will be accompanied by numerous folk music groups, including "Die Inntaler".
Word has probably got around by now that there is more to the Seefeld Strudel Festival than just apples and curd cheese. While the pulled pork and fish variations are almost classics, there is always something new, especially in the savoury-vegetarian sector. On 6 and 7 July, the local landlords will once again ensure that visitors go home with a whole new taste experience. There is no flavour that is not catered for here.
It will be interesting to see what potatoes and other vegetables will be mixed with this year. Not forgetting, of course, the delicious sauces, which often give the savoury strudels a very special touch. In the sweet sector, seasonal fruit, nuts and chocolate are at the top of the list of ingredients - but there will also be the odd savoury ingredient. "We are looking forward to the creativity of our hosts," says Daniel White from the Seefeld Tourist Board, who has been organising the festival for years.
However, the organisers will not only spoil their visitors with culinary delights on Saturday and Sunday. A colourful children's programme awaits younger guests on the village square. Everyone else will be entertained musically by numerous folk music groups. As a special highlight, "Die Inntaler" will be performing on Saturday.
On both days, the "Marktmusi", "Kranzberg Blos" and "Die Außergewöhnlichen" will sweeten the Strudelfest experience in the streets. Of course, the village square will also be buzzing again on both days. On Saturday, "Die Bergmänner" will add to the Alpine flair before the "Inntaler" make their grand entrance on Sunday. Local support comes at 11:00 am with the march-in of the "Bergkapelle Reith".
Anyone who would like to take the strudel treat home with them after a cosy "Hoangart" is cordially invited to do so. All the delicious strudel variations are also available to take away. So the strudel enjoyment can easily go into overtime.
