Bundesligavorbereitung im Pitztal: Trainerstab und Management des FC Augsburg zum Saison-Kickoff am Hochzeiger

Updated on 08.07.2024

Last week, managing director Michael Ströll, sporting director Marinko Jurendic and Jess Thorup travelled to the picturesque Pitztal valley with the professional team's coaching and functional team to prepare for the upcoming season.

The unspoilt nature and fresh mountain air of the Pitztal provided the Bundesliga club's managers with the ideal environment to prepare for the challenges ahead. Away from their usual surroundings, the motto was "work and experience together". In addition to visits to alpine pastures with honest regional cuisine, the programme also included joint workshops and team building to get to know the new staff members and strengthen cooperation.

"It was an all-round successful event to kick off the pre-season preparations. The atmosphere in Pitztal was simply fantastic and brought us even closer together as a coaching team," said Jess Thorup, Head Coach of FC Augsburg after the days together. Sports Director Marinko Jurendic also praised the professional organisation and the commitment of all participants, who are full of enthusiasm for the new preparation. "We are delighted to have found the ideal conditions for this kick-off with the Pitztal, our reliable tourism partner".

The Pitztal, as host and long-standing tourism partner of the FC Augsburg Bundesliga team, was also delighted with the joint event: "As a tourism partner of FC Augsburg, we want to offer the coaches and managers something special and at the same time draw attention to the unique beauty of the Pitztal," emphasised Philipp Stöfelz. "We are proud to be the official tourism partner of FC Augsburg, which generates unique visibility for us in Germany through this cooperation. We are also delighted to be the initiator of this extraordinary experience and wish FC Augsburg every success for the coming season."

The contrasting Pitztal valley offers numerous opportunities for workshops or successful team building. Whether it's hiking together through the fascinating mountain world or action-packed experiences such as the XP-Park high ropes course, bungee jumping on the Benni Raich Bridge or Zirbencarts on the Hochzeiger. The region not only scores with a variety of activities, but also with a suitable hotel that offers seminar rooms for company events. A particular highlight is Café 3440, an extraordinary seminar location with an unrivalled view and inspiring meetings.

The FC Augsburg coaching and functional team have made a great start to the pre-season preparations and everyone is looking forward to the coming season with great anticipation. With fresh impetus and a strengthened team spirit, the aim is to organise a successful season in the Bundesliga and build on the successes of the previous season. The training camp in Pitztal was an important step on the way to achieving this goal.
