Spectacular panoramas, idyllic lakes and fresh mountain air: summer in the Tannheimer Tal offers an impressive range of activities, events and moments of pleasure as well as Alpine beauty. Sustainable travelling by train is recommended for the future-oriented protection of this unique nature. From 4 May 2024, your holiday starts on arrival every Saturday. The free bus shuttle for the "last mile" is included.
Rail travellers can reach the Tannheimer Tal in comfort and in a climate-friendly way with the 2024 timetable. From Hamburg (departure approx. 06:20 via Hanover - Fulda - Frankfurt) or from the Ruhr metropolis of Dortmund (departure approx. 08:30 via Cologne - Mannheim - Stuttgart), the Deutsche Bahn ICE train will take you to Ulm, while travellers from Berlin (departure approx. 08:00) will travel via Frankfurt or Munich. The trains arrive at Ulm main station at around 14:00. The free shuttle bus departs from the station forecourt directly to the most beautiful high valley in Europe. The shuttle bus departs at 14:30. The journey takes around 90 minutes. In the opposite direction, the shuttle bus departs from the Tannheimer Tal at 11.30 am. It arrives at Ulm main station at around 13:30. This leaves enough time to change to the long-distance trains heading north, which leave there at around 14:00. It is important to pre-book for the bus shuttle so that transport capacities can be planned. Once in the Tannheimer Tal, guests with the Tannheimer Tal Card guest card can use the buses (with the exception of the bus to the Vilsalpsee) free of charge.
