From the starting ramp to the Reither Kogel: 120 participants take on the demanding challenge. Daniel Ganahl and Amalie Cooper set new standards.
Reith im Alpbachtal - With the smoke of the gun and a whiff of excitement in the air, the spectacular mountain time trial of the Reither Kogel Trophy began in the village centre of Reith. From the start ramp the daring participants rolled off, ready to conquer the challenging course up the Reither Kogel.
120 participants mastered the challenging course of six kilometres with an altitude difference of 560 metres. In the men's category, Daniel Ganahl from Vorarlberg delivered an impressive performance. He secured first place with a time of 20:36. Julian Braun from Germany came in second with a time of 21:13. Local hero Marco Wimpissinger from Brixlegg came in third with a time of 22:18 and was thus able to prove his strength on home terrain.
There were also exciting competitions to watch in the women's category. The British rider Amalie Cooper came out on top with a strong time of 20:36 and secured the victory. The two Austrian athletes Kathrin Rieder (29:32) and Magdalena Maierhofer (29:38) followed her in second and third place and completed the podium.
The Reither Kogel Trophy 2023 was a complete success and offered the participants and spectators gripping race moments. The athletes showed their skills and endurance on the challenging course, while the audience followed the exciting races with enthusiasm.
