Perfect conditions on the pistes in the morning, enjoy the warm temperatures on the sun terrace at lunchtime and return to the valley in the afternoon for enjoyment, culinary delights and varied events - spring is the perfect season to combine sun, firn and enjoyment when spring skiing in Tyrol. And if you can't get enough of skiing, you can extend the winter even further on the 5 Tyrolean glaciers.
When spring slowly arrives in the valleys, the ski season on Tyrol's mountains is far from over. Thanks to numerous high-altitude ski areas, skiers all over the country can still find perfectly groomed slopes on the snow-covered mountains, especially in the morning hours - and that until after Easter. Coupled with the spring sunshine, which makes the snow sparkle and shine, this is an ideal opportunity to put on your skis and start the day in a sporty way. At lunchtime, the sun terraces of the many huts are waiting for you to stop off, breathtaking panorama and Tyrolean cuisine included. In the afternoon, it's back to the valley where, after a relaxing break in the wellness area of the accommodation, you can continue with a wide range of enjoyment, culinary delights and varied events.
If, on the other hand, you still can't get enough of skiing and want to spend not only the whole day, but also far beyond Easter on the slopes, the 5 Tyrolean glaciers are the perfect place to be. The five large glacier ski areas in Hintertux, Stubai, Sölden, Pitztal and Kaunertal offer maximum snow guarantee at over 3,000 metres above sea level due to their altitude. With over 300 kilometres of pistes, the glacier ski areas have something to suit every taste: extensive, wide pistes for speed fans can be found here as well as steep expert pistes and flat, perfectly groomed pistes for families and beginners. The offer is rounded off by attractions such as viewing platforms, glacier caves, adventure museums and cosy restaurants with inviting sun terraces.

Many sunny days and an exceptionally high snow guarantee make East Tyrol an ideal destination for spring skiing in Tyrol. The region is almost considered an insider tip, so skiers can look forward to empty pistes, no waiting times at the lifts and refreshment stops with genuine East Tyrolean delicacies. What's special? When enjoying skiing in East Tyrol, not only does a breathtaking backdrop of 266 three-thousand metre peaks await you, but the Ski-Hit Osttirol ski pass is also valid in seven ski areas in East Tyrol.
The Fridays in the Obergurgl ski area in the Tyrolean Ötztal are also special. At the weekly "First Line" event, early risers are on their own in the ski area. From the beginning of February to mid-April, skiers can make their first turns on the freshly prepared slopes from 7:30 a.m. and then enjoy a first-class breakfast on the Hohe Mut Alm.
A special tip is also the Figln on Innsbruck's Nordkette. As the ski season draws to a close, the spring snow offers this very special experience. Figln, which means "firn gliding", involves skiing downhill on special, very short skis in deep snow - fun and action guaranteed. During a breather in the deck chairs on the Seegrube, you can enjoy not only the sun but also the panoramic view of the Tyrolean capital.
