On 15 July, hikers will experience an unforgettable hiking adventure. Once around the clock, they embark on an extraordinary expedition through the mountain world of the Alpbachtal.
Rattenberg - The Alpbach Valley is known for its idyllic landscape, breathtaking views and good cuisine. A unique opportunity to experience all this in just 24 hours is offered by the Alpbachtal 24h Hike. On 15 July at 9 am, the adventure starts in Rattenberg town centre. Without sleep, the hike leads directly into adventure over 49 kilometres and more than 3000 metres of altitude. The hike is done as a group with a maximum of 130 people accompanied by mountain and hiking guides as well as the mountain rescue service. There will be frequent breaks along the route.
The absolute highlight of this year's Alpbachtal 24-hour hike is breakfast on the "Top of Alpbachtal" observation tower. The hikers enjoy the breathtaking scenery at sunrise. Food and supervision are included in the participation fee of 89.90 euros. The hike is a tough one, but it can be done with willpower and good basic fitness. The pace is leisurely and without hustle and bustle. Tired hikers can recharge their batteries during the numerous short breaks.
The route leads from Rattenberg to the Gratlspitze in Alpbach. It continues over the Hösljoch and the Latschenberg to the Schatzberg. Then it goes past the Stettauer Alm and Farmkehralm in the direction of the Wiedersberger Horn to the "Top of Alpbachtal". Return via the district of Hygna. The last kilometres to Rattenberg are covered by the included shuttle bus to Rattenberg. This year, for the first time, the Alpbachtal 24h Hike will be held as a "Green Event".
