Pitztal entwickelt „Plan P“ für eine zukunftsorientierte Tourismusregion

Updated on 28.08.2023

The Pitztal Tourism Association initiates a valley-wide development process with all communities and representatives of the "Next Generation". In this process, the most important future projects for the region will be developed, agreed upon and then implemented.

The world is changing as never before. In order to be best prepared for the future, the "Plan P" initiated by the TVB board sets the course. The Pitztal is building on the positive tourism growth of the last seasons and a lot of young creativity and commitment. The tourism board acts here as the motor of the economic development of the Pitztal and is the platform where the threads come together.

Plan P was launched in the supervisory board with the political representatives of the four municipalities of the Pitztal in early summer. Together, an attractive image of the future and ten to 15 central future projects for a sustainable development of the Pitztal are to be created. For this purpose, the "Next Generation", young hoteliers, skilled workers from tourism as well as from the handicraft, service and construction industries, meet for their own workshops and regulars' tables to actively work on these projects. More than 20 young female entrepreneurs worked intensively on the first workshop, because they are the ones who are directly and longest affected by the success of this project. "In the past few years, more and more work has been done on the strategy of the Pitztal," explains Bruno Füruter, supervisory board TVB Pitztal. "The goal now is to define and then also implement the future projects together with all positive forces in the Pitztal in order to further expand and intensify the positioning of the Pitztal."

In the course of the autumn, there will be further workshops with various representatives from Pitztal society in order to combine all constructive forces and work together on an attractive future for the Pitztal. Key projects, such as sustainable mobility, the bike trail or the discussion of market gaps, will be defined - with the aim of presenting the finished Plan P next year. "The task now is to further develop the tourist environment and the tourist offer," TVB chairman Rainer Schultes outlines the planning phase. "Those responsible in politics as well as the businesses and the tourism association must act coherently in order to achieve a positive dynamic. With the workshops, the first steps have been taken to integrate as many different aspects and points of view as possible."
