The Fairhotel Hochfilzen has qualified for the European Ecolabel.
The certification process took months, but now it's done: the Fairhotel Hochfilzen has qualified for the European Ecolabel .
The hotel, which owner Hans Eder opened ten years ago as the first passive energy hotel in Tyrol, has just received the coveted award - as one of the first accommodation providers in the region. The eco-label, also known as the Euroblume or EU Ecolabel, enables consumers to make comparisons across borders and thus provides orientation for sustainability-conscious holidaymakers .
The criteria for the award range from strict waste separation and resource-conserving energy management to the use of environmentally friendly cleaning agents and regional breakfasts with organic products.
Bed and breakfast in a double room is available from 65 euros per person. The Nordic Academy with its gentle winter sports programmes is right in the hotel, and the biathlon facility and cross-country ski trails are right on the doorstep.
By the way: guests can use Tyrol's first night trail with solar lights. www.fairhotel-hochfilzen.at
