Around 40 hiking enthusiasts did not miss the ceremonial opening of the new panorama rifleman's trail on the Glungezer despite the chilly temperatures.
The idea, initiative and implementation of the new circular hiking trail at 2,100 metres above sea level came from the Speckbach Rifle Company Tulfes under the leadership of Rifle Chairman Manfred Arnold and Hansjörg Erlacher. The 4.5 km long circular trail with around 250 metres of altitude difference leads from the Tulfein mountain station via the Hirschvogelsteig to the Bärenbaderjöchl and offers fantastic views of the surrounding mountains. With a walking time of 1.5 to 2 hours, the Panorama-Schützensteig is suitable for everyone. Among the numerous guests at the opening of the new hiking trail on the Glungezer were also Tulfes Deputy Mayor Karin Markart-Bachmann and the chairman of the cultural committee of Tulfes Hans Peter Markart, who also accompanied the opening of the hiking trail with music. TVB Managing Director Martin Friede was enthusiastic about the initiative of the Tulfer Schützen and thanked them warmly for their commitment: "The new Panorama-Schützensteig is a perfect addition to the Zirbenweg, the Schartenkogelrunde and the summit tours on the Glungezer".
