The announcement of the ratings in the Gault&Millau and Falstaff guides is eagerly awaited every year. The Zell-Gerlos, Zillertal Arena region is not only known for its wide range of leisure activities in summer and winter, but also for its culinary delights and warm hospitality in the heart of the Zillertal. Culinary delights and hotels at the highest level

After being named Newcomer of the Year, the 5*s Green Spa Hotel MalisGarten in Zell am Ziller was named Hotel of the Year 2024 by the Gault&Millau Hotel Guide, impressing with its unique concept and reflecting the recognition for its outstanding quality and first-class service. The Ziller Seasons establishments also feel at home in the world of gourmet cuisine - the HeLeni restaurant was honoured with 2 toques and 13 points from Gault&Millau and 2 forks and 87 points from Falstaff. The restaurants DieMarie in the Posthotel and Wilde Kräuter Küche in MalisGarten were honoured with 1 fork and 84 points. The EdenBar in MalisGarten scored a lucky strike with Alexander Morgenstern. The bar was honoured with 3 cocktail glasses and 92 points as the most innovative bartender 2024 by Falstaff.

The Zell-Gerlos region also counts one of the best bars in Austria among its establishments - the Englhof cocktail bar in Zellberg with Andreas Hotter has received numerous nominations and awards in recent years, confirming the quality of the products and service. This year, the bar was again honoured by the Falstaff Barguide with 3 cocktail glasses and 94 points.

The many variations of the Schulhaus Tirol restaurant on the Zellberg are surprisingly different and the address was once again crowned with 3 Gault&Millau toques and 15 points for first-class flavour. Many other mentions and 2 forks with 86 points in the Falstaff Restaurant Guide are among the successes of head chef Stefan Geisler.

The quality and excellent service in a hotel business pay off and so other flagship establishments in the region are named in the Falstaff Hotel Guide 2023: Almhof Family Resort & Spa, Das Gerlos, Hotel Gaspingerhof, Hotel Jörglerhof, MalisGarten, Das Posthotel and the Theresa Wellness Genießer Hotel.
