This year's Wine and Pleasure Festival, which will take place from 14 to 15 April, will be attended by a real queen. Susanne I. Riepl from the Riepl Winery in Gols is the current reigning Austrian Wine Queen.

In her function as wine queen, the 22-year-old winemaker creates "awareness for the quality product wine as well as for the role of women in the wine industry". With her profound knowledge of Austria's wines, she was able to prevail over her competitors and has now made it her task for three years to raise the profile of Austrian wine. Susanne I. Riepl stirs the promotional drum nationally, of course, but in the meantime also internationally. "I am very much looking forward to welcoming many new guests and also old acquaintances at the event," emphasises the likeable winemaker from Gols.

Nine top vintners from Lower Austria and Burgenland will present their finest wines in front of the impressive mountain backdrop at Café 3440 from 1 pm. These include, for example, the Hannes Reeh winery from Andau in Burgenland or the Bauer winery from Königsbrunn am Wagram in Lower Austria. Admission costs EUR 25 (without cable car ticket) and the combination ticket EUR 60 (including ascent and descent with the Gletscherexpress and Wildspitz cable car).

On Saturday, 15 April, there will be a wine tasting with a "bottle party" at the Pitztal Gletschermühle near the Gletscherexpress valley station from 4 to 8 pm. Admission costs EUR 25.
