Whether in a stylish 4-star hotel, in a cosy flat or on an original farm: over 90 % of the accommodation establishments in Tyrol are family-run and Tyrolean hosts welcome their guests with warmth and passion day in, day out. So it's no wonder that almost three quarters of Tyrol's guests are also regulars. And they can look forward to numerous innovations as well as environmental certifications in the 2023/24 winter season. An overview:

Reconstruction under the sign of sustainability: Böglerhof, AlpbachtalWitheight new suites with a view over Alpbach, a relaxation room, a large sauna area with an event sauna, a yoga room and terrace as well as treatment rooms and a large garden area with a natural swimming pool, the Duftner host family starts the winter season 2023/24 with their Böglerhof. As an environmentally certified business, great importance was attached to the topic of sustainability during the renovation: a 100 m² photovoltaic system, a new heat pump and a large energy buffer for better utilisation of the existing pellet system will be an important part of the concept in the future.

New concept: armona medical alpinresort, KufsteinerlandWitha new concept, the armona medical alpinresort at Thiersee in Kufsteinerland will welcome its guests from the winter season 2023/24. The renowned health hotel will focus entirely on the well-being of its guests and, with a team of attending physicians, physiotherapists and osteopaths, will do everything in its power to facilitate rapid recovery and permanently improve the quality of life. The house is particularly focused on diseases of the musculoskeletal system. The spacious rooms with a view of Lake Thiersee, the in-house restaurant and the spa area allow guests to relax all around.

More space for wellness: Hotel Panorama Royal, KufsteinerlandThefamily-run 4-star wellness hotel Panorama Royal in Bad Häring in Kufsteinerland offers an exclusive wellness paradise with the expansion of the spa area and thus heralds a new "era of well-being". Guests can look forward to a high-end relaxation world with a new infinity pool as well as sauna, water and relaxation rooms surrounded by nature on an area of around 7,500 m2. Offers such as yoga, meditation, Qi Gong and forest bathing round off the stay.

New home base for sports enthusiasts: Sportlers Lodge, ÖtztalIn the middle ofthe winter hotspot Sölden, the Sportlers Lodge will open its doors in the 2023/24 season. Sports enthusiasts can look forward to a casual home base in the Ötztal Alps. One of the highlights is the three-storey Sky Spa wellness area with sauna and steam bath, 150 m2 infinity pool on the roof and a view of the mountains. In addition to breakfast, the in-house restaurant La Cucina also serves à la carte dishes in the evenings.

Temporary hostel: PhiliPop-Up Hostel, Seefeld regionGuestscan get to know the "good old days" and the charm of a modernly interpreted, yet aged, house in winter 2023/24 at the PhiliPop-Up Hostel in Scharnitz in the Seefeld region. Unobtrusive but charming, with a shared kitchen for self-catering and a trust-based bar are the key features of the temporary hostel. Because even if the vacant inn is now being breathed back into life with a focus on up-cycling, the PhiliPop-Up won't be around forever. Freestylers appreciate the immediate proximity to the "Banger Park" kicker area.

Inthe middle of the mountaineering village: Alplodge, WipptalAt1,422 metres above sea level, the newly renovated Alplodge is located in the unspoilt Schmirntal in the Wipptal. With ten double rooms, one single room and another flat and thus space for 27 people, the self-catering house is ideal for larger groups and families. The highlight of the modern renovated house is the over 100-year-old Tyrolean stone pine parlour with tiled stove, which is accessible to all.

As a sign of their commitment to the environment, not only towards their guests but also towards their staff, more and more establishments are undergoing extensive certification processes; and can thus proudly bear the Austrian Eco-label from the Ministry of the Environment. First Green Hotel in the rear Zillertal: Zillertalerhof, ZillertalAs thefirst establishment in the rear Zillertal, the Alpine Hideaway Zillertalerhof has been certified as a "Green Hotel" and has been awarded the Austrian and European eco-labels. Sustainability is anchored at the top strategic level in the 4-star design hotel, and accordingly all activities are geared towards it. The vision of the hosts Katharina and Franz-Josef Perauer: The Zillertalerhof is not only a pioneer in terms of design, innovative hospitality and the promotion of an appreciative work culture, but also a pioneer in terms of tourism development of the entire region on an economic, social and above all ecological level.

First certification in the Wipptal: Parkhotel Matrei, WipptalThe Parkhotel in Matrei am Brenneristhe first hotel in the Wipptal to be awarded the eco-label and the EU Ecolabel. The family-run business is managed by Florian Obojes and was successfully certified in 2023. The host underwent the certification process because he is aware of his responsibility towards employees, guests and partners. Guests arriving by public transport even receive a 10% discount on the overnight rate.

In historic walls: H5 Studios, InnsbruckHistoricalflair with modern design and high-quality furnishings await guests at the new H5 Studios in the heart of Innsbruck. As a partner establishment of the Hotel Grauer Bär, guests can not only enjoy fully equipped flats with style, but also use the wellness area with sauna, steam bath, infrared cabin, pool and outdoor whirlpool above the roofs of Innsbruck of the renowned hotel. The 22 new suites offer space for one to four people.

Exclusive aparthotel in the idyllic high valley: Alpine Collection, WildschönauThenew Alpine Collection Wildschönau in Niederau is home to eight stylish flats with high-quality furnishings and space for up to six people, as well as studios for compact well-being for two. With its location just a few metres from the entrance to the SkiJuwel Alpbachtal Wildschönau ski area, it is the ideal starting point for a winter holiday in the tranquil Wildschönau holiday region. Homebase for adventurers: Mano's Apartments, Paznaun-IschglTwonew, fully equipped holiday flats for two to eight people will be available at the new Mano's Apartments in Kappl in the Paznaun Valley from winter 2023/24. Alpine cosiness meets modern design. Since the Grissemann family knows what guests want from running the Hotel Post, holidaymakers will want for nothing. In addition, breakfast and use of the wellness area in the partner hotel can be booked on request. The Silvretta Card Premium is also included in the stay.

Luxury for families: Domenigs, Serfaus-Fiss-LadisEightluxurious flats with space for two to six people are available at Domenigs in Fiss in the family-friendly Serfaus-Fiss-Ladis region, which will be opening in the 2023/24 winter season. With the new flat house, host family Domenig focuses on an interplay of feel and light, of luxury and nature. The fully equipped flats with one to three bedrooms and one to three bathrooms also have a spacious living room, sauna and fully equipped kitchen.

fil HOME Apartments, East TyrolThreemodernly furnished flats in a more than 100-year-old, lovingly renovated house will house the fil HOME flat house in Leisach in East Tyrol from the coming winter season. The timeless aesthetics of the living design, clear lines and natural materials characterise the three flats for two to four people.
