Gregor Meyle und Tim Bendzko live bei den Berglauf- und Trailrunning-Weltmeisterschaften

Updated 06.05.2023

Only 30 days left until the start of the WMTRC!

Today, 6 May, it is exactly one month until the starting signal is given for the World Mountain and Trail Running Championships (WMTRC) 2023 Innsbruck-Stubai. From 6 to 10 June, the two host regions in Tyrol will become a mountain running and trail running centre. But there will also be plenty to offer the public off the trails.

On 6 June Gregor Meyle and his band will ignite that World Cup feeling and kick off the mountain running and trail running festival of the year. He will play hits such as "Jetzt kommt der Tag" and "Flieg jetzt los" at the Landestheater Vorplatz at 8 p.m. with free admission. Fitting lines like "You've trained hard and risked a lot for yourself. Now fly away, always on", are intended to get athletes and visitors alike in the mood for exciting days ahead.

Following the Closing Ceremony, Tim Bendzko will close the WMTRC on 10 June at 8.45 p.m. at the Landestheater Vorplatz and provide a final highlight with his performance. His lines are characterised by feeling, courage and attitude. His songs are pieces that touch deep in the heart and speak from the soul. Few have shaped German-language pop music in the last ten years like he has.

Before and after the competitions there will be everything the athletes' and spectators' hearts desire. In addition to the big highlights - the opening and closing ceremonies - there will be a colourful potpourri of events, from other live acts to the Cultural Experience Night in the Stubai, as well as art, culture and culinary delights. Whether for a one-day visit or a stay of several days, whether with family or friends, there is something for everyone. The offer is constantly being expanded and refined: www.innsbruck-stubai2023.com/zuschauer

It is the atmosphere and the pictures that make a sporting event unique. This is why the organising committee came up with the idea of "cheering crews". "The athletes perform incredible feats, be it over 7 or 85 kilometres or in between - they deserve to be cheered on and motivated," emphasises OC head Alexander Pittl.
