Updated 17.04.2023

With international top headliners such as Don Diablo, Oliver Heldens, Meduza or the Australian twin duo Nervo, the ELECTRIC MOUNTAIN FESTIVAL (EMF) also thrilled in its ninth edition. A (re)mix of electrifying beats, snow-sure skiing fun and the finest culinary delights was on offer. For the first time as an "extended version", the Electric Mountain Side Events were held very successfully from Monday to Wednesday at cool locations in the ski area. On Thursday and Friday, a total of 18,000 fans celebrated the Electric Mountain Festival on the Giggijoch at over 2,000 metres. The anniversary edition will take place next year from 8 to 12 April 2024.

Internationally popular DJ celebrities such as Don Diablo, Nervo, Oliver Heldens, Tujamo, Vini Vinci and Co. were delighted with the exuberant atmosphere that prevailed throughout Sölden during the festival week from 10 to 14 April. Among the Sölden regulars are the twin sisters Miriam and Olivia Nervo. Why do the Australians keep coming back? "There is no other festival like this. We are happy to be a part of it. We feel especially at home in Sölden." For Dutch DJ and producer Oliver Heldens, too, Sölden always remains in good memory: "I love skiing. Whenever there is the opportunity, I am on the slopes. That's why I also brought my family to Ötztal."

For the ninth ELECTRIC MOUNTAIN FESTIVAL there were some novelties for the music fans: the "extended version" of the festival not only included additional locations in the ski area with even more live acts, but also a networking event at the ice Q, with partners, management and DJs exchanging ideas at 3,048 metres. Culinary lovers enjoyed the combination of cool sounds, an exclusive food bar by 2-Hauben chef Klaus Holzer and sushi from renowned sushi master Dil Ghamal in one of the two VIP areas on the Giggijoch under the motto SuSCHI & Beats. From 8 to 12 April 2024, the ELECTRIC MOUNTAIN FESTIVAL will be celebrating its tenth anniversary.

The 2023 edition brought trendy beats at various locations in the ski area and the best piste conditions with lots of fresh snow. For the warm-up, the visitors celebrated at the FALCON restaurant at the middle station of the Gaislachkoglbahn to the sound of Julian Jordan and Never Sleep, among others. Two Kinx performed at Annemarie's Hühnersteign and Philipp, a cult pub in Sölden, played the sounds of Super Flu and AKA AKA. Established DJs Tujamo and Rudy MC celebrated with the EMF community at Rettenbach Market Restaurant on the glacier. Afterwards, the festival crowd headed to Panorama Alm with YouNotUs and Riva Elegance. The ELECTRIC MOUNTAIN FESTIVAL Pistenbully served as a coherent and visible turntable set-up. For the finale on Thursday and Friday, the Giggijoch was transformed into a large festival area with a striking Main Stage. At the turntables: Don Diablo, Oliver Heldens, Nervo as well as Meduza and other renowned acts of the international DJ scene. The mix of electrifying beats and casual hut flair guaranteed even more fun on the slopes and variety in 2023.

The place to be in terms of mood and atmosphere: the iconic Main Stage on the Giggijoch at over 2,000 metres with its 160 m² LED surface complete with pulsating light show and effective sound effects. To crown the festival week, fans celebrated with the top stars of the electro scene on the unique, snow-covered dance floor in the middle of the alpine mountains.

This year's edition made it clear that the ELECTRIC MOUNTAIN FESTIVAL unites music and ski fans. Side events in the ski area as well as the main events on the Giggijoch are included in the Sölden day ski pass and are therefore accessible free of charge. With the upgrade of the festival area at the Giggijoch, the new VIP area also offered additional quality & comfort, culinary highlights, reserved seats with the best view of the festival stage.
