The Gauder Fest, which takes place from 4 to 7 May 2023, is the largest spring and traditional costume festival in Austria and looks back on a remarkable history: Venetian merchants mentioned a church festival and fair in Zell am Ziller as early as 1428. In 2014, the Gauder Fest was designated by UNESCO as Austria's intangible cultural heritage.
