"On your marks, get set, go": the Lakes Run in the Tannheimer Tal is back in 2023 with a sporting challenge for young and old. The event to compete, put your fitness to the test and enjoy the mountain scenery in Europe's most beautiful high valley.

Get active together, experience the beauty of the Tannheim mountains and cross the finish line successfully: On Saturday, 3 June 2023, the time has come again and the most beautiful high valley in Europe invites you to its traditional running event: the sporting event has a long tradition and is very popular with locals and guests of the Tannheimer Tal. In the Corona years, the event had to be paused due to the restrictions. Until then, the Seen-Lauf attracted over 1,000 enthusiastic participants every year.

The Seen-Lauf returns with new routes and organisersThisyear, the event is starting in Nesselwängle for the first time and is being organised by the Nesselwängle sports club, the Tannheimer Tal ski club and FC Tannheim. Whether you are an endurance professional, long-distance runner or amateur runner, everyone can choose their running route depending on their ability level. The start and finish area is located at the Nesselwängle sports centre. The routes continue to run past the charming Haldensee and Vilsalpsee lakes. Catering is provided before, during and after the run.

According to the organisers, the aim of the Lakes Run is to offer young people in the Tannheimer Tal and beyond a unique sporting experience. Because this much is clear: a shared running experience through the idyllic nature of the Tannheimer Tal is not only a special experience, but also an experience that brings people together.Register and start runningTheLakes Run is not just an event for professionals, beginners and children are also very welcome. When registering online, you can choose between different running routes. Children and schoolchildren can take part in a one-kilometre run or a three-kilometre run. The eight-kilometre route around Haldensee is suitable for experienced runners. Those who want to take things a little slower can register for the Nordic walking circuit from Nesselwängle on the same route. The 24-kilometre professional route leads past Haldensee to Vilsalpsee and back to Haldensee to the starting point in Nesselwängle. Afterwards, participants can look forward to small prizes and certificates. You can register for the event and pay the registration fees on the Seen-Lauf website.
