For decades, the Almabtrieb has been an impressive tribute to farming tradition. Early in the morning, the cows and calves are decorated with colourful flower arrangements and bells to express that the alpine summer has passed without misfortune. This marks the end of summer and the beginning of autumn. The festivals in the region are a nice opportunity to get together and appreciate the hard work of the season. The right supporting programme, delicious food and good entertainment make for a successful day full of customs.
