Seefeld invites to the 15th Strudelfest in the pedestrian zone on 8 and 9 July

For the 15th time, Seefeld will be celebrating "alles Strudel" on 8 and 9 July. On both days from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., the pedestrian zone will be transformed into a mile of enjoyment for the traditional Austrian dish, with the local innkeepers having far more than apple and curd strudel up their sleeves. There are fine fish and pulled pork varieties as well as a wide variety of sweet and savoury vegetarian delicacies. The strudel festival is framed by numerous folk music groups, including the famous Ebbser Kaiserklang.

A strudel can be filled with so much more than apple and curd cheese. The Seefeld Strudelfest proves this for the 15th time this year. On 8 and 9 July, more than 15 local innkeepers will once again ensure that visitors go home with completely new taste experiences. While the spicy versions with pulled pork and fish are almost classics in Seefeld, there are always new things happening in the spicy vegetarian sector. You can't wait to see what potatoes and other vegetables will be mixed with this year. Not to forget, of course, the delicious sauces that often give the savoury strudels a very special touch. In the sweet sector, seasonal fruit, nuts and chocolate are at the top of the ingredients list - but the one or other fiery component will not be missing either. "We are looking forward to the creativity of our hosts," says Daniel White from the Seefeld Tourism Association, who has been organising the festival for years.

The organisers will not only spoil their visitors with culinary delights on Saturday and Sunday. Younger guests can look forward to a colourful children's programme on the village square. Everyone else will be entertained by numerous folk music groups. A special highlight on Saturday is the Ebbser Kaiserklang. The group has been playing traditional folk music since 1947 and, as can be read on their homepage, has even convinced the folk music expert par excellence, Franz Posch (Mei liabste Weis): "They cultivate in an inimitable way the way of playing with the "special rass" as one says in folk music circles about a very own musicianly way of playing." Despite the generational changes that naturally have to take place with such a long existence, the group has never lost its timbre and musical character. The six musicians of the current generation also perform without electric amplification and leave themselves plenty of room for improvisation. Especially for those fans who have already experienced or missed the Kaiserklangler in mid-June at the Mittenwald Saitenstraßen, the Strudelfest should thus be a fixed date.

In addition to the Unterlandler, you can also hear the Außergewöhnlichen and the Strudlmusig on both days, as well as the Fulpmer Tanzlpartie on Saturday and the Kranzberg Blos on Sunday.

Finally, anyone who would like to take home the pleasure of strudel after the cosy hoangart in the Seefeld pedestrian zone is cordially invited to do so. All the delicacies are also available "to go". So that nothing really stands in the way of the extraordinary strudel pleasure.
