Zauberhafte Adventszeit in Imst – mit Höhepunkten für Herz und Seele. Ein Glanzlicht: das 25th Guiness Irish Christmas Festival

Updated 23.11.2022

The days are getting shorter, Christmas is approaching - and the year is advancing with great strides towards radiant highlights in the Outdoor Region Imst: the Advent Market in Imst and the 25th Guinness Irish Christmas Festival with the Original Show, which is presenting its anniversary programme this year.

It is the time to bring light into the darkness of the season, to fill and experience the winter months with epicurean delights, traditional rites and time-honoured customs. With art, culture and music that enchant the heart of the visitor. Thanks to sustainable, climate-friendly travel, the outdoor region of Imst can be reached stress-free by train or bus from Austria, Germany, Switzerland or Italy.

The cosy alleys of Imst's upper town invite you to a romantic tour: the Krippele Schaug'n. From 26 November 2022 to 6 January 2023, young and old can marvel at the elaborate masterpieces of the cot builders and amateur carvers on the cot trail between St. John's Church and the Imst Parish Church. A special experience for the whole family, because along the illuminated and decorated alleys there are 21 stations to admire classical, alpine and also oriental treasures. More details are available here.

From 25 November to 11 December 2022, the small town of Imst will be transformed into a stage for art and culture. The terms "SPAZIEREN - BETRACHTEN - ERLEBEN - VERWEILEN" characterise the idea of this year's Kunststraße. Sculptures, walking acts and art portraits occupy public spaces. Works of art in shop windows and galleries invite you to look at them - at your own pace and to your own taste. The great thing is that you can immerse yourself in the work of the artists in residence and literally look over their shoulders as they work. Those looking for exciting encounters can find more information online.

The pre-Christmas season can be so beautiful. With many events around Advent as well as a special programme and concerts for the little ones.
