Winter mountain railways included in the Tannheimer Tal

Updated 25.10.2022

A few kilometres behind the German-Austrian border with the Allgäu, the Tannheimer Tal lies at 1,100 metres above sea level. From the beginning of December, Europe's most beautiful high valley turns into a snowy mountain paradise, perfect for a versatile winter holiday. The stay in January and March is particularly inexpensive, when the popular holiday package "Winter mountain railways included" is again on the programme.

Use the region's ski lifts and mountain railways for free fromMonday to Thursday - in the period from 09 to 26 January and from 13 to 16 March 2023, this is possible thanks to a cooperation between the Tannheimer Tal hosts and the local mountain railways. The offer is valid for all overnight guests with a minimum stay of three nights. Skiers and snowboarders are transported free of charge in all six ski areas of the Tannheimer Tal as part of "Winterbergbahnen inklusive". The mountain railways in Tannheim, Grän and Nesselwängle are available as lifts for hiking excursions. The offer is very easy to take advantage of: In exchange for the guest card, which is handed out by the host, overnight guests receive their mountain railway or ski ticket at the ticket office of the mountain railway stations during the campaign period.
