Christmas sounds, atmospheric stories and traditional delicacies: On 3 December, guests can look forward to a cosy Advent afternoon in a homely atmosphere at the Zeiger restaurant at the middle station of the Hochzeiger cable cars. At "Advent in the Snow", the Pitztal music group "Oberleiner und Freunde" will get you in the mood for the most wonderful time of the year with their unplugged concert (start: 2.30 pm).
While the melodies of accordion, guitar, cajon, trumpet and flugelhorn enchant, special delicacies - inspired by Christmas as in grandmother's times - tempt you: Mulled wine and punch, baked apples, Buchteln with vanilla sauce, Kiachln with cranberries or sauerkraut.
Visitors pay 25 euros for the package including a concert, a ride up and down the mountain on the gondola lift and a selection of pre-Christmas dishes. Registration is required at marketing@hochzeiger.com.
By the way: The Hochzeiger cable cars start winter operations on 2 December and open the 40 kilometres of perfectly groomed pistes for families, skiing novices and professionals.
