Hochoetz: 1st piste ski tour route in Ötztal

Directly at the valley station of the Ochsengartenbahn cable car, a newly created piste ski tour leads through a fantastic winter landscape and impressive panorama over 520 metres in altitude and an easy ascent up to the Hochoetz reservoir and mountain station at 2,020 m. Once at the top, the Panorama Restaurant and the Kristall Bar offer two refreshment stops before heading back down into the valley via the ski piste. Wildschönau: Alpaca hike around the Thierbacher Kogel

An alpaca hike through the snow-covered winter landscape is a unique experience for young and old. From winter 2022/23, guests can experience this for the first time in the Wildschönau on a winter hike around the Thierbacher Kogel. With a length of 5.5 km and a slight difference in altitude, the hike is also suitable for children. The new Schatzberg Zwergenland in the Ski Juwel Alpbachtal Wildschönau guarantees even more fun in the snow. Located directly at the Schatzbergbahn middle station, the Zwergenland is ideal for families taking their first steps on skis. Ötztal: Happy Family Weeks in the Hochoetz ski region

It's not just the child-friendly facilities at WIDIVERSUM Hochoetz that are unique for young and old. With three campaign periods in winter 2022/23, the Hochoetz ski resort once again proves its heart for children. The little ones can enjoy the benefits of the ski area for free on selected dates in December, January and March. Pitztal: Affordable family holidays in winter 2022/23

In order to make skiing as affordable as possible for the whole family, Pitztal is introducing a new young family ski pass in winter 2022/23. Depending on the season, this will cost from € 106 for a 3-day ski pass or € 184 for a 6-day ski pass. Parents with small children who are not yet skiing (from 1 January 2020 and younger) will receive a special rate. Children under the age of ten receive a free Bambini ski pass in the Hochzeiger ski area when accompanied by a parent. Innsbruck: Culinary Craft Tours

Ischgl: Opening of the Silvretta Therme

The new Silvretta Therme in Ischgl is spectacular both inside and out. From December 2022, visitors will be able to relax and unwind on five levels. These include the Silvretta sauna and sauna garden, an outdoor pool with pool bar, an adventure pool with children's area, a sports pool, a medical spa, a fitness area, several catering facilities, event rooms and an ice rink. Ski Juwel Alpbachtal Wildschönau: Hornlift 2000 & "Top of Alpbachtal" viewing towerTo mark the 10th anniversary of the Ski Juwel Alpbachtal Wildschönau ski area, the Hornlift 2000 is being replaced by a new detachable 6-seater chairlift with a weather protection bonnet and heated seats. Ski Juwel is thus taking a further step towards modernity and comfort for skiers. In future, the new Hornbahn 2000 will take them to the highest point of the ski area in 3.45 minutes. Once at the top, skiers can look forward to a state-of-the-art mountain station, known as the "Top of Alpbachtal", with a viewing tower offering a unique panoramic view. Innsbruck: New 10-seater gondola lift in the Axamer Lizum

From winter 2022/23, it will take just six minutes from the car park up to the sunny Hoadl plateau in the Axamer Lizum. Instead of the Schönboden and Hoadl I+II chairlifts, a new 10-seater monocable gondola lift with two sections will be built. 75 cabins for ten people each will take skiers and snowboarders up to Hoadl-Haus at an altitude of 2,340 metres. A new administration building with a shop and ski hire will be located right next to the valley station. There are also plans to build a hydroelectric power plant on the Axamer Bach stream near Axams, which will generate enough electricity to cover the needs of the Axamer Lizum lifts to a large extent.www.axamer-lizum.at

East Tyrol: Defereggental ski centre St. Jakob im Defereggental

The highest cable car facility in East Tyrol will open in St. Jakob in Defereggen Valley in December 2022. The new 6-seater Leppleskofel chairlift with heated seats and weather bonnets runs from the valley station of the former Almspitz lift up to 2,683 metres above sea level. At the same time, three new pistes will be opened up in time for the new winter season, making the St. Jakob im Defereggental ski area even more attractive. The Buchensteinwand in the Kitzbühel Alps - PillerseeTal is the ideal starting point for ski tours. Three marked routes lead from the valley station up to the Jakobskreuz, which can be seen from afar at the summit and is a rewarding tour destination. Buchensteinwand-Bergbahnen Pillersee is now installing the Tyrolean piste tour guidance system to provide ski tourers with the best possible information in winter 2022/23. Zell-Gerlos: New construction of the Kapauns 8-seater chairlift

The connection between Zell and Gerlos will be more comfortable, more efficient and much more attractive for skiers in future. The construction of the new 8-seater Kapauns chairlift with an extended route to replace the existing 2-seater chairlift is a major step forward in the Zillertal in time for the 2022/23 winter season. The new chairlift offers space for eight people with weather protection and heated seats. Kufsteinerland: New biathlon centre in Schwoich

The ground-breaking ceremony took place in autumn 2021, and a new biathlon centre with a focus on young talent and popular sports is now opening in Schwoich in Kufsteinerland in time for the 2022/23 winter season. The centre is the starting point for cross-country ski trails of various lengths and levels of difficulty and is set to become the heart of a supra-regional cross-country skiing region. A modern shooting range is also part of the centre.
