Updated 26.04.2022

In three weeks, everything in the outdoor region of Imst will once again revolve around one topic: the 6th Imst Cycling Marathon (IRM). Then it's time to pedal: Pedal and be there at the 6th edition of the popular bike race. For the highlight in the cycling scene, Imst Tourism and the renowned organiser Radsportevents have made all the preparations for a safe course.

"This year we have the pleasure of starting a new edition of our popular bike race with a large cycling fan community. To make sure that everything is on time and well prepared for the great mountain race, the course planners and the organisation team are working together under high pressure at all levels," says Frank Rietzler, the organiser of the Imst Cycling Marathon.

Since its premiere in 2016, the Imst Cycling Marathon has long since gained a firm place in the international cycling calendar. The event team is pleased about the steadily growing number of participants, which will soon crack the magic 1000 mark

The mountain race offers just the right challenge for every cycling enthusiast, whether an everyday cyclist or an ambitious cycling fan. There is a choice of 70, 90 or 110 kilometres for the cycling highlight organised by Imst Tourism and "Radsportevents". Depending on whether you want to take a more leisurely or sporty approach to the mountain race. For the more ambitious, there are 2,300 metres of altitude to climb on the 110-kilometre long course, including the Holzleitensattel and the Haiminger Sattele.

Details on the routes and all important information on the conditions of participation are available here.

The Imst Cycling Marathon opens the race calendar as one of the first cycling events in Tyrol.

Six years ago, the Imst Cycling Marathon was launched as a joint project of Imst Tourism and the organiser Frank Rietzler. The race, which has established itself as a permanent fixture in the racing calendar, will take place this year on Sunday, 15 May 2022.
