Ski Food Festival: Culinary season opening

Gourmets are looking forward to a special ski opening on 17 and 18 December: the Hochzillertal-Kaltenbach ski region and the Spieljoch ski area in Fügen are inviting guests to the fourth Ski Food Festival. At the two-day event, winter sports enthusiasts will taste specialities from the most diverse corners of the world.

Norway, France, Austria, Denmark or Croatia - three-course menus from the most diverse countries will be served on 17 and 18 December in the Hochzillertal-Kaltenbach ski region and on the Spieljoch. To enjoy the delicious menu in the 13 huts, guests must make a reservation at the respective location - samples will be distributed to winter sports enthusiasts in front of the respective establishment.

Around the world in two daysAfteran active morning of skiing on the perfectly groomed slopes of the ski resorts, there is nothing better than a cosy stop at the mountain restaurant. As diverse as the participating huts are, so are the specialities they serve: From France to Israel - each of the retreats specialises in one country. Inspired by the respective region, international celebrity chefs create dishes of the highest standard. In addition, irresistible free samples are available directly at the lift stations from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. on the Gourmet Days. "You don't discuss good taste, you taste it. The most diverse nations from all over the world have brought their best delicacies to Hochzillertal and the Spieljoch," says Martha Schultz, co-owner of the Hochzillertal-Kaltenbach ski region and the Spieljoch family area, looking forward to the ski opening of the culinary kind.

The Ski Food Festival takes place at the start of the Spieljoch season on 17 and 18 December. The Hochzillertal-Kaltenbach ski region starts the 2022/23 winter season two weeks earlier (3 December). More about the culinary event at www.skifoodfestival.at.
