Schaufenster der bäuerlichen Direktvermarkter und Kunsthandwerker: Reuttener Herbstmarkt findet am 03. Oktober wieder statt

Updated 20.09.2022

After a two-year break, Reutten's Untermarkt will once again be transformed into a large showcase for direct farmers and artisans on 3 October. This is an opportunity to gain an insight into the diversity of regional and sustainably produced goods.

The large autumn market for local culinary delights, arts and crafts and design is being organised by the market town of Reutte for the fourth time on 3 October, the day of German Unity. Picturesquely framed by the pretty house facades of the historic centre of Reutte, numerous stallholders from the Außerfern, the Tyrolean Oberland and the Allgäu region close to the border will take advantage of this busy day and transform the newly designed meeting zone in the Untermarkt into a large showcase of their skills.

The product range extends from cheese, meat and sausage products as well as herbal products to teas, liqueurs, fine spirits, honey, potatoes and fruit. Tyrolean fashion, bags and jewellery as well as handicrafts made of stone, glass and wood round off the offer.

The autumn market is one of the top events in the mountain autumn of the Reutte Nature Park region. From the beginning of September to the end of October, the region is all about customs, tradition, culture and culinary delights. Mountain Autumn 2022 began in September with the alpine pasture cattle drives in Höfen and Vils. This was followed by the traditional sheep farewell in Höfen. The next highlights to be experienced in the 2022 mountain autumn are the "Plansee Cycling Experience Day" on 24 September, the district harvest thanksgiving procession on 16 October in Reutte and the Michlbauer Harmonica Congress, which will take place from 21 to 23 October in Breitenwang.

Very personal autumn moments can also be collected at the regional culinary partners of the mountain autumn. They present a varied range of regional autumnal dishes and special delicacies. From chanterelles to a wide variety of game dishes, lamb or goose specialities, to the great pumpkin and vegan culinary delights, there is something to suit every taste at the Bergherbst.
