Ötztal Tourismus lud zum „Housewarming“ ins neue Hauptquartier

Updated 18.08.2022

Tyrol's largest tourism association invested almost 7 million euros in its new service headquarters on almost 1,500 square metres in the centre of Sölden. Agile possibilities for cooperation and a unique brand experience characterise the scenario: the headquarters is a benchmark for contemporary communication and information for guests, member businesses and the local population.

Due to the pandemic, the official opening of the new information and administration centre of Ötztal Tourismus has only now been postponed. The change of accommodation at the end of 2021 also meant a structural realignment for Tyrol's largest tourism association towards a modern communication centre. From here, the organisation's contact persons serve guest and member concerns from the entire Ötztal. The building sets a deliberate aesthetic counterpoint in the centre of Sölden. It was designed by architect Johann Obermoser. He follows the architectural and structural principle of an appealing information environment in the formal language of the time. This design approach is already anticipated by the new access bridge over the Ötztaler Ache. As a charming and traffic-calmed promenade, it forms the first entrance to the multimedia tourism centre

Trendsetting workspaceTyrol'slargest tourism association relies on flexibility and flat hierarchies at the workplace in its new home. The high functionality of the service centre enables the 45 employees to interact with each other across processes and on an ongoing basis. In the meeting rooms on the upper floor, which are equipped with the latest technology, live broadcasts take place during the Ötztal Cycling Marathon, for example. "Our team works on almost 1,500 m² of light-flooded space under one roof. The aim was to create premises that enable forward-looking tourism product development and marketing of the Ötztal," explains Oliver Schwarz, Director of Ötztal Tourism.

Interactive Ötztal experienceIn theguest service info office, tech fans are amazed: information-seeking customers get stimulating impressions of the fascinating possibilities and offers of Tyrol's longest side valley in the interactive brand experience world. Tools such as digital information pillars and an XXL screen convey a 360-degree experience of the Ötztal. In addition to these technical features for the playful presentation of the destination highlights, personal advice continues to enjoy high priority. This takes place at three separate counters, which are supplemented by a digital map table with self-service.
