From 25 June to 29 October 2022, the special exhibition "Hilde Goldschmidt. Art and Self. The Artistic Estate in the Museum Kitzbühel" can be marvelled at.

Art History of (Post-)Expressionism in Kitzbühel

Throughout the summer, the Museum Kitzbühel is once again captivating visitors with a new special exhibition. This time it revolves around the German painter and graphic artist Hilde Goldschmidt. Born in Leipzig, she spent the whole of her life in Kitzbühel: with interruptions due to National Socialism and the years after the Second World War, a total of 36 years. As an artist, she overcame all odds and took her fate into her own hands. The artistic estate is the testimony of her remarkable life and a unique document of 20th century Austrian art history.

With the title "Hilde Goldschmidt. Art and Self. The Artistic Estate at the Museum Kitzbühel.", the exhibition opens on Friday, 24 June 2022 at 7:00 pm and can be visited from then on. Visitors can enjoy the works of the artists until 29 October 2022 and be inspired by their artistic finesse. Guided tours of the special exhibition will be held every Thursday at 18:00 between 01 July and 17 September 2022. Curator tours will also take place on four dates (25 June / 14 July / 04 August / 15 September).

The contemporary witness talk Hilde Goldschmidt on Thursday, 15 September 2022 from 20:00 is also eagerly awaited. Finally, there will also be a conference on "Hilde Goldschmidt. Art and Self." will take place on Friday, 14 October 2022.
