Ski superstars Henrik Kristoffersen and Alexis Pinturault are using the time until 22 October to prepare themselves optimally for the start of the Ski World Cup - currently on the Pitztal Glacier, where they find perfect training conditions.
St. Leonhard in Pitztal, on 11 October 2022. The 2022/23 Ski World Cup is just around the corner and all the ski stars are in the final spurt of their preparations. The world's top skiers are putting on the finishing touches on the Pitztal Glacier: these days it is Henrik Kristoffersen and Alexis Pinturault who are doing their last training sessions on the Pitztal Glacier. "We started the new season relatively late, in mid-August, after a long spring of training and testing. After a block on the domestic glaciers and a longer stay in South America, we are now guests at the Pitztal Glacier with excellent conditions," Kristoffersen is pleased. Alexis Pinturault is also in full preparation for the season opener on the Pitztal Glacier.
The people in charge and the staff of the Pitztal Glacier have done an excellent job, says Kristoffersen: "The slopes are in excellent condition and we were able to train according to our wishes and ideas thanks to excellently prepared slopes. We greatly appreciate the great commitment of everyone involved and their will to make the best possible for us and a good training possible. I can only give everyone a big compliment and a big thank you." Alexis Pinturault agrees: "The conditions are super and allow for optimal training and good preparation for the opener in Sölden."
The 2019 Giant Slalom World Champion is highly motivated, his strategy for the coming season clear: "The goal for the coming season is relatively simple: to get the maximum out of every race is the motto. Then we will see where it will take us", Kristoffersen looks forward to the World Cup opener with determination. And Pinturault? "I want to win!".
