MCI Rektor Andreas Altmann erhält “CEEMAN Champion Award”

The Entrepreneurial School® in Innsbruck has received another prestigious award. Every year, the Central and East European Management Development Association (CEEMAN), based in Bled/Slovenia, presents the prestigious "Champion of the Year Awards" in the following categories:

  • University Management ("Academic Leader of the Year")
  • Teaching ("Teacher of the Year")
  • Research ("Researcher of the Year")
  • Responsible Management Education"

The decision is made by an international jury appointed by the CEEMAN Board. The award ceremony for MCI Rector Andreas Altmann took place on the occasion of the 30th annual CEEMAN conference in Bled/Slovenia.

In a touching laudation, CEEMAN President Danica Purg paid tribute to the exemplary development work of the long-time Rector of the Entrepreneurial University® in Innsbruck. On the basis of a clever strategic positioning, he had managed to lead an extremely efficient academic institution de facto from nothing to bright heights.

According to Danica Purg, the MCI enjoys the highest international reputation and stands for quality in teaching and research, innovative strength, anchoring in the economy and entrepreneurial spirit. These and other qualities, according to President Danica Purg, are also attributed in a special way to MCI Rector Andreas Altmann, whose name carries great weight in the university landscape and whose expertise is trusted internationally.

In his words of thanks, MCI Rector Andreas Altmann emphasised the special quality, performance and commitment of the MCI team, with whom it is a pleasure to work every day. According to Rector Altmann, universities have a very special responsibility when it comes to solving the burning questions of our time and shaping the future. In his opinion, the award goes to all those who give their best every day to help others realise their dreams.
