With its wide, untouched slopes and snow-covered forests, the Tyrolean Lechtal between the Lechtal and Allgäu Alps is considered a Dorado for ski tourers far away from alpine ski tourism. During the second "Lechtaler Skitouren Tage" (Lechtal Ski Touring Days) from 21 to 29 January 2023, those interested will get to know the original region of the Austrian nature park region as a unique ski touring destination. They will learn what really matters in order to be well equipped and safe for the adventure of ski mountaineering. For beginners as well as advanced skiers, numerous events and training courses are offered in addition to guided tours. These include avalanche camps, skiing technique and avalanche transceiver exercises, ski touring basics and get-together meetings with expert lectures by professionals. The services are offered as 2-, 4- or 7-day packages from 130 €/person or can be booked individually from 100 €/person.

A total of 116 routes covering an area of 42 square kilometres are available to tourers in the Allgäu and Lechtal Alps. They include classic routes for beginners, experienced and professional skiers as well as insider tips for an unforgettable mountain experience. At the "Lechtaler Skitouren Tage" (Lechtal Ski Touring Days) from 21 to 29 January 2023, the conditions will be there that you wish for as a ski tourer: untouched slopes, wild mountain solitude and descents through powder snow. A basic level of skiing is a prerequisite. In addition to guided ski tours, training courses are also offered. Because in the wild and natural Tyrolean Lechtal, it is essential to also familiarise yourself with challenges and dangers. Winter sports experts like Martin Fiala, founder of the "Lechtal Guiding" working group, pass on their extensive knowledge at information events, avalanche courses, joint tours and training sessions. "The topics of safety and self-responsibility are at the forefront throughout the week," says Fiala.
