After last year's terrific success, the Kitzbühel Summer Concerts will be continued in the existing style. Spectators can expect a brilliant spectacle in a class of its own on 26 June 2022 and on four dates in August.
A real highlight in the Kitzbühel calendar of events
For all those interested in culture and music enthusiasts, it is once again time to prick up your ears and listen: the cultural format of the Kitzbühel Summer Concerts will once again be launched this year. It starts with the pre-concert "Saudade" on Sunday, 26 June 2022 at 7:00 pm in the hall of the Kitzbühel Music School. The Academia Leopoldina will celebrate 200 years of Brazilian independence with a mix of the two worlds of Austrian musical culture with Haydn, Mozart, Schubert and Co. paired with Brazilian flair.
On four days in August - each Wednesday in the concert hall of the Landesmusikschule Kitzbühel - the diverse programme of events will leave nothing to be desired. The "Serenade" by J. Brahms - played by a nonet of members of the Mozarteum Orchestra Salzburg together with the double bass player Johannes Gassteiger - kicks off on Wednesday, 3 August at 8:00 pm. In the following week on Wednesday, 10 August 2022 at 4:00 p.m. as well as at 6:30 p.m., the family concert "Kasperl und das Gespenst" (Punch and the Ghost) awaits with the puppet show by Gregor Oehmann supported by musicians, offering an entertaining performance not only for the little ones. On Wednesday, 17 August 2022 at 8 p.m., the Trio Parémi will provide a sonorous journey to France with "For a Coffee in Paris". The event series is rounded off on Wednesday, 24 August 2022 at 20:00 with the "Premiere" from an exciting combination of saxophone, string quartet and piano.
