After an exceptional skiing season on the mountain, Kitzbühel is seamlessly transitioning into spring. As early as Easter week, golf enthusiasts can tee off again and perfect their swing on the driving range.
The Kitzbühel region, with a total of four award-winning golf courses, two of them in the town centre, is also called the golf paradise in the heart of the Alps. As each course is unique in its own way, it is worth playing all four Kitzbühel courses at least once this season. The Kitzbühel-Schwarzsee-Reith golf course, which is often the venue for top-class international tournaments, not only attracts visitors with its 18 holes, but also with its unique panorama and long tradition in the middle of the Tyrolean Alps. Nestled between the Wilder Kaiser and the Hohe Tauern mountains, the 18-hole championship course Eichenheim, which is characterised by dense deciduous forests and long pars, also offers breathtaking views of the Kitzbühel mountains. In the immediate vicinity of the town is the 9-hole Golfclub Kitzbühel, which will present golfers with special water hazards with the island green of hole 8 and hole 9 embedded in the castle park, while in the finish area of the legendary Streif downhill run, the 9-holeRed Bull Golf courseat Rasmushof will entice you with its hilly terrain. The fairways are selectively laid out, the 9 holes sporty enough to challenge handicap players and also offer an ideal course for beginners. The impressive view of Kitzbühel's city centre rounds it all off.
Golf Course Kitzbühel-Schwarzsee-Reith
The entire team of Kitzbühel Tourism once again supported golf course manager Guido Hinterseer and his team in the annual spring cleaning to get the course in perfect condition for members and guests. The first 9 holes will be opened on Good Friday, 15 April 2022 and all 18 holes on Saturday, 23 April 2022.
The driving range, chipping area and putting green have been open for play since Tuesday, 12 April 2022. The new, high-quality tee mats on the driving range now allow for training as if on natural grass, making wrist and elbow sprains a thing of the past. The four-legged friends of the golfers are also warmly welcome at the Kitzbühel-Schwarzsee-Reith golf course this season. From now on, they can accompany their masters and mistresses on a leash, for a dog fee of EUR 9.00 and in compliance with the dog excrement collection obligation.
If you would like to perfect your game or are new to golf, the Kitzgolf Academy headed by Max Glattenbacher is there to help and advise you. Since the right equipment also plays a major role in the game of golf, individual fitting appointments can already be made with Harry Zott, head of HZ Fitting.
Open Kitzbühel golf courses
In addition to the Kitzbühel-Schwarzsee-Reith golf course, the Kitzbühel Golf Club and the 18-hole Eichenheim Championship Course have already started the golf season. The opening tournament of the Red Bull Golf course at Rasmushof will take place on 01 May 2022.
