The 20th Kaiserwinkl Alpin Ballooning Week unfortunately had to be cancelled again due to the Corona situation. Nevertheless, 16 balloon teams travelled privately to the region on the originally planned date and the colourful balloons adorned the bright blue sky throughout the week.
On the occasion of the anniversary week, a very special highlight was the production of a new "Kaiserwinkl balloon cover", which has been waiting for its first use for some time now. Without further ado, the tourism association decided to postpone the big "inauguration ceremony" but to present the new balloon cover anyway.
The meeting point was in bright sunshine in Walchsee. After a few ceremonial words, which chairman Gerd Erharter addressed to those gathered, there was a champagne shower for the balloon team. Afterwards, the new hot air balloon took off into the lightning blue sky.
The pilot who manoeuvres the Kaiserwinkl balloon through the air is Irmgard Moser. She has been taking care of the aeronautical matters during the Kaiserwinkl Alpin Ballooning Week for years now and is a permanent member of the organising team
The date for the next Kaiserwinkl Alpin Ballooning has already been fixed and will take place from 21.01. - 28.01.2023.
