The study grant supports students in financing their studies and is of enormous importance, especially in times of galloping inflation. Our tip: It pays to apply!
We strongly recommend that every student applies for a study grant, because this is the only way that the scholarship office - the team of experts - can legally examine and evaluate the student's entitlement to a study grant and, if the grant is approved, claim further support such as a travel allowance, foreign allowance, etc. In the worst case, a rejection of a grant can also mean that the student has to pay a higher amount.
In the worst case, a rejection of a grant is also evidence with other authorities, from which funds can also be obtained, but which always demand the decision of the student grant authority as evidence. At the same time, many rejections by politicians also show the need for action to adapt the guidelines and access to aid.
Filling out the forms is very easy and only takes a few minutes.
The application period in the winter semester runs from 20 September to 15 December.
Don't be distracted by the suspicion hermeneutics - I won't get anything anyway - submit an application!
Applications can be submitted either online (for which you need a mobile phone signature), by post or as an email attachment in pdf format.
