For those who want to take it a little easier, 3 summer mountain railways take you high up. The Finkenberger Almbahnen in Finkenberg are in operation until 16 October 2022. The Eggalm lifts in Tux-Lanersbach are open until 26 October 2022. The gondola lifts on the Hintertux Glacier run all year round. Here, in autumn, it often happens that hikers meet skiers and are equally eager to get up the mountain. After all, the Hintertux Glacier is Austria's only year-round ski area.

150 km of pure mountain bike fun await you here in Tuxertal! The new Bike & Hike routes are particularly popular. The idea behind them: Forest roads are comfortably negotiated with the e-mountain bike and the last climb to the summit is done on foot. Get on your mountain bike and enjoy the mountain experience!

Austria's only all-year-round skiing area starts into the glacier autumn of 2022 full of anticipation. Maximum snow enjoyment with minimum travel and waiting times are guaranteed by the modern lifts and cable cars up to an altitude of 3,250 m on the Hintertux glacier. Grandiose views and up to60 km of perfectly groomed powder snow slopes as well as a fantastically shaped "Betterpark Hintertux" await the first winter sports enthusiasts from October!

Exciting experiences for enthusiastic glacier fleas

Tux-Finkenberg brings action, fun and adventure for young and old under one holiday hat. Glacier flea "Luis" is happy to have lots of playmates in his glacier flea park at 3,250 m, probably the highest playground in Europe.

The Almspielerei on the Eggalm, Pepi's Kinderland on the Penkenjoch and Luis' glacier flea safari and ball safari with their attractions provide plenty of variety. The TUX Worlds - various themed trails such as the Gorge World, Nature World, Animal World and Plant World - provide playful insight and guarantee fun, action and pure experience for everyone!

Should the sun ever go on holiday, there is no reason to be sad, because the Playarena in Tux-Vorderlanersbach, a 1,000 m² indoor playground, offers everything to make children's hearts beat faster.

Living customs in the Tuxertal valley

On 10 September 2022, the mountain sheep move from their "summer residence" Berliner Hütte down into the valley. Musical and culinary catering is provided on the festival grounds. From 23 - 24 September 2022, the already traditional 31st Hintertux Oktoberfest will take place. On Friday, "Z-Pur" and then "DJ Realize" will heat things up in the festival tent in Hintertux, the next day there will be a large farmers' market on the festival grounds and the festively decorated cows will return to the valley from the Bichlalm. One of the most beautiful and traditional Almabtriebe in Tyrol celebrates the end of the festival with the "Kasermandl Duo" and then live music with "Die Lauser" in the festival tent.
