A hike through the colourful autumn in Alpbachtal is one of the most impressive natural spectacles you can experience in hiking boots.
Alpbachtal - For many it is the most beautiful season in the mountains - the golden autumn. With its foliage colouring and imposing mountain backdrop, it is the season for hiking in the Tyrolean holiday region of Alpbachtal. Until late autumn, until 6 November to be precise, the two summer mountain railways, the Wiedersbergerhornbahn and Reitherkogelbahn, are in operation and quickly take hikers to heights from where families with children can also set off on wonderful summit hikes.
A hike to the sunny summit of the Voldöpper Spitze offers a special experience. High up at 1,506 metres, sporty hikers are rewarded with a view of the Rofan Mountains. The ascent is made on the sunny tour from Kramsach. The round tour to the Farmkehralm in Alpbach promises a picture-book alpine pasture experience. The rustic alp in the Greitergraben can be reached via the Jagdstein in one and a half hours and offers a view of the highest mountain in Kufstein, the Großer Galtenberg, and the perfect Wiener Schnitzel.
One of the most beautiful autumn hikes is the Breitenbacher Almenwanderung, a long and consistently sunny circular tour, where you need to take enough drinks and provisions with you, as the tour is one of the few without refreshment stops, but with all the more beautiful views.
