GLOBALE KONFERENZ ZU „VERANTWORTUNGSVOLLEM MANAGEMENT“ AM MCI

Under the motto "Societal Impact through Entrepreneurship & Innovation: Responsible Leadership Education for the Changemakers of tomorrow", leaders, researchers, educators and students from all over the world met at the Entrepreneurial University® in Innsbruck to share the latest insights and practical applications of responsible business leadership and to discuss the promotion of the UN Sustainable Development Goals.

With 150 delegates from 30 countries and a unique programme consisting of over 70 sessions, the conference was a resounding success. In a variety of high-level formats, participants engaged in intensive exchanges on the topic of "Societal Impact through Entrepreneurship & Innovation" over the course of three days.

Numerous highlights

The highlights of the conference were not only numerous workshops, such as on climate simulation or effective leadership practices, but also the presentation of research work on topics such as management training for sustainable innovation and entrepreneurship, future studies, poverty reduction, gamification, climate change and sustainable change agents. In addition, panel discussions as well as contributions from inspiring speakers provided insights into topics such as social entrepreneurship, paradigm shifts and decarbonisation.

Guests included Georg Willi, Mayor of Innsbruck, and Provincial Governor Ingrid Felipe, who both emphasised our responsibility for the future and the important role education plays in it.

The conference was made possible by the kind support of the conference partner Innsbrucker Kommunalbetriebe (IKB) as well as the City of Innsbruck and IFL Engineering Consulting and the sponsors Wirtschaftskammer Tirol (WKO), Cura Cosmetics and Bio vom Berg.

Statements & reactions

"With the RMER Conference we succeeded in bringing international experts in the field of education for sustainable development and responsible business management to the MCI, who further developed these topics - also in the context of entrepreneurship - in an intensive exchange with each other and with local actors. We are happy about the many positive feedbacks and about the opportunities for further international cooperation that result from this."

Regina Obexer & Desiree Wieser, Conference Organisers, MCI Center for Responsible Management & Social Impact

"Sustainable development and responsible management are central topics at MCI. With this conference, we have created an international stage that has focused on the urgency of the concerns, but especially on the positive approaches of co-creative collaboration of different stakeholders far beyond the university. The results and feedback inspire us to continue working on these issues with energy and vigour."

"I personally took a lot away from the conference, there were many impulses that I rarely get otherwise, very inspiring. And I was also very taken with the implementation of the Green Event."
