Due to the sunny location of the mountain, this hike is ideal for the first days of spring. Once you reach the summit, the spectacular view of the Tannheim mountains opposite is one of the reasons why you don't want to go back down. The route downhill is worthwhile, however, as it runs along the many meadows that blossom in spring through the Lohmoos plateau to the Berghotel Zugspitzblick.
