FIS Weltcup-Auftakt 2022/23 im alpinen Parasport im Wipptal

International top athletes from 21 nations at the World Cup opener on the Bergeralm.

For the second time this year, World Cup races will be held in Steinach am Brenner in the Bergeralm ski area as part of the World Para Alpine Skiing Tour.

Athletes from several continents are taking part, including competitors from Australia, the USA, Canada and Japan. A total of around 180 people, 80 of them athletes, will take part in the Para Alpine World Cup in Steinach.

The race calendar provides for two super-G competitions on Wednesday, 14.12.2022 and Thursday, 15.12.2022 as well as two giant slalom races on Friday, 16.12.2022 and Saturday, 17.12.2022.

The ÖSV as organiser as well as the Sportclub Steinach and the TVB Wipptal, who are supporting on site, are looking forward to exciting and successful races and of course hope that the local athletes will reach the winners' podium.

Special thanks go to the Bergeralm team, who will ensure perfect piste preparation as usual, and to all skiers for their understanding that not all of the pistes can be used during the competitions due to barriers.

A repetition of this event in the Bergeralm ski area is conceivable next year for both the organisers and the co-organisers in the Wipptal and is definitely desired.
