For many people, witnessing the sunrise on top of a mountain is one of the most beautiful moments in life.
In Alpbachtal there are several opportunities to experience this unique natural spectacle live. Due to the region's location in the Kitzbühel Alps, the view extends far beyond the deep valleys and impressive mountain scenery. The popular Gratlspitze or also the Voldöpper Spitze are popular sunrise spots due to their relatively quick accessibility. In addition, sunrise trips with the Wiedersbergerhorn cable car in Alpbach take place on selected days in the months of June to September.
From 7 July, the Wiedersbergerhorn cable car will be on early shift on Thursdays. The six-person gondola lift will take hikers from the valley station in Alpbach to the top at the crack of dawn. a leisurely 45-minute hike takes you to the summit and you can enjoy the sunrise. After the colourful natural spectacle, hikers can enjoy a hearty mountain breakfast in the mountain hut.On their own and without a gondola ride, adventurers experience the sunrise on the Gratlspitz. The 1899-metre-high panoramic mountain is literally perched above the roofs of the village of Alpbach. In addition to 26 church steeples, you can see over 800 mountain peaks from here. Depending on the route chosen, hikers can enjoy their mountain breakfast in the Holzalm or in the Obertal-Hof. All information at: www.alpbachtal.at
