A week full of Tyrolean tradition and customsTheAlmabtrieb, the home march of the alpine dairymen and women with their cows, has been a wonderful traditional festival in the Hohe Salve holiday region for decades. Early in the morning, the cows and calves are decorated with colourful flower arrangements to show that the summer in the alpine pastures has passed without misfortune. After the long journey home, the animals and the "Alminger" are ceremoniously welcomed in the villages after weeks of silence.
