The new "Bühne frei" magazine in the PillerseeTal inspires with the fusion of analogue and digital worlds. Through augmented reality, interactive elements, videos and audio elements, readers get to know the region even more intensively.
The new regional magazine "Bühne frei" has just been published in the PillerseeTal and inspires with a completely new, interactive reading experience. What was previously considered science fiction is now becoming reality in the Unterland region. The magazine combines the best of two worlds. The analogue, haptic page-turning in the print product becomes an in-depth virtual reality phenomenon through 360-degree panoramas, videos or audio elements on the mobile device. For the first time, augmented reality is now also being used in the PillerseeTal. Virtual elements are played onto the mobile phone over the real image and merge into a fascinating combination. For example, the young artist Katrin Hinterholzer or the bread sommelier Philipp Decker from the PillerseeTal. "The aim was to make it possible to experience the region even more intensively. The limited scope of the attractive magazine is supplemented by practically unlimited digital content and leads to a completely new interaction," says TVB Managing Director Armin Kuen enthusiastically about the new approach.
Through the cooperation with the Kufstein agency ofp kommunikation, which designs the magazine "Bühne frei" and integrates the AR elements, the magazine was able to take a big step towards digitalisation. The new app Livi AR, which is necessary for this, was developed by "VITAMIN D". Once the free app is installed on the smartphone, a simple scan on the individual AR symbols in the magazine is enough to start the corresponding video, panorama or audio. The image and video material in the TVB, which comes almost entirely from local producers, was supplemented with additional content by the agency ofp kommunikation. The audio contributions were specially created by the ofp kommunikation agency in Kufstein and provide background information on topics such as podcasts from the PillerseeTal or Aufgred dialect to make you smile in a relaxed and exciting manner. Armin Kuen and his team immediately recognised that this digitisation step through the APP Livi means a great opportunity for the PillerseeTal Tourism Association! says Thomas Oberhuber Managing Director ofp kommunikation.
"What excited me personally was the motivation and creativity with which everyone involved got down to work. It is unbelievable how much know-how there is in our region and how this has resulted in such an innovative, high-quality product," concludes Kuen. The magazine "Bühne frei" is now available free of charge in all tourism offices in the PillerseeTal as well as in accommodation and various shops.
