A colourful summer festival of over 500,000 flower blossoms once again enchanted around 10,000 spectators at the 30th Flower Parade on 15 August . Countless hard-working hands and volunteers decorated the colourful floats with dahlias, gladioli, gerberas and sunflowers.
It is well known that the flower parade in Kirchberg is already a tradition - so on Ascension Day, more than 25 flower-decorated cars, vintage cars, tractors and carriages rolled through the centre of Kirchberg and amazed guests and locals alike. The countless volunteers once again provided artistic and imaginative motifs.
Magnificently designed animals and imaginative mythical creatures as well as motifs from the current gift of the day and traditional themes could be seen on the flower carts.
This year's absolute flower highlights included the fire duck from the Aschau fire brigade with 50,000 flowers, the Lifthotel and Hotel Kroneck with a grape harvest, a Yeti from the Hotel Sonne and many more. The flower-decorated floats were accompanied by the Kirchberg and Aschau music bands and the Oldtimerfreunde Kirchberg.
The traditional flower parade was followed by a cosy summer night party with live music in the centre of Kirchberg. We are already looking forward to the 31st Kirchberg flower parade on 15 August 2023.
