Austrian Airlines erweitert Österreich-Anbindung aus Berlin

Updated on 03.10.2022

Austrian Airlines is increasing its flight offering to and from Berlin in the 2023 winter timetable and will be operating a weekly flight on the Berlin-Innsbruck route for the first time. From 28 January to 25 February, Austrian will fly passengers from the German capital to the Tyrolean winter paradise on Saturdays. With this new route, the Lufthansa Group is strengthening the connection to Innsbruck in addition to the existing connections to Vienna, Frankfurt, Hamburg, Stockholm and Copenhagen. In total, Lufthansa Group airlines will fly to Innsbruck up to 48 times a week during the peak ski season, further promoting the local tourism market.

"This seasonal service will enhance our flight programme to Berlin and will delight winter sports enthusiasts with the convenience of a direct connection to Tyrol. With almost 50 weekly flights to Innsbruck, Austrian Airlines and the Lufthansa Group are making a significant contribution to strengthening tourist traffic in the region," says Austrian Airlines CCO Michael Trestl.

The Vienna-Berlin connection will also be expanded with an additional flight on Saturdays around the semester holidays. This will not only benefit city tourists travelling to Vienna or Berlin, but also numerous transfer passengers who use the Vienna hub as a convenient hub for their onward flight.
